An e-mail alias is an email that shares a mailbox with a completely different e-mail address. For example, you could have email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org and emails sent to either one of them will be received in a single mailbox. This option will make it less complicated and much more convenient to control various email addresses because you will need to log into one mailbox if you are using webmail or configure one address in a email app on your computer. If you create an alias, you won't just have the ability to receive messages, but you'll also be able to send out messages from the different addresses and they will share the Outbox, so you'll have all communication in one location. Working with aliases can be an alternative option to using different e-mail addresses for different purposes or forwarding one e-mail address to a new one to be able to control the communication of both in one place.
